The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), in partnership with GNR and PSP, launched the "Buckle Up, Stay Alive" campaign, running from September 8 to 14. This initiative is part of the National Enforcement Plan 2026 and aims to raise awareness about the correct use of road safety devices.
The campaign focuses on the importance of seat belts, child restraint systems and helmets as essential measures to prevent deaths and serious injuries in the event of an accident. The warning comes after concerning data recorded between 2021 and 2024, a period in which 8,210 passengers were identified in situations of non-use of these devices.
