Lisbon Port grows 2% in passengers until record month of August

The port of Lisbon registered, in the first eight months of 2026, 448,037 passengers, a growth of 2% compared to the same period, having received 220 ship calls, 6% more than in the same period of 2025.

August was the best August ever in cruise activity, with 86,322 passengers, representing an increase of 23% compared to the same period and surpassing the previous record for this month, which was 73,949 passengers and dated from 2024.

The number of ship calls also reached a new all-time high in August, with 33 calls, 32% more than the same period and above the previous record of 29 calls, which had been registered in August 2008.

Transit passengers also reached a new maximum for the month of August, with 61,689 passengers, surpassing the previous record of 60,132, which dated from 2024.
