The censorship motion against the Government presented by the Chega party, against the continuation of Luís Neves as Minister of Internal Administration, was rejected in the Assembly of the Republic. The vote featured the abstention of PS, the party that supports the minority Government.
Only the Chega party voted in favor of the motion, which was sufficient to guarantee its defeat. PSD, CDS-PP and IL followed the voting guidance against the motion, while PS chose to abstain.
The debate on the censorship motion lasted about three hours and it was already certain that the motion would be rejected, given that PSD and PS represent the absolute majority of deputies.
