TV Globo confirms "Avenida Brasil 2" for January 2027

TV Globo officially confirmed this Tuesday the production of "Avenida Brasil 2", the continuation of the soap opera that became a ratings phenomenon in Brazil when it was originally aired in 2012. The confirmation paved the way for the return of one of the most successful storylines on Brazilian television.

The new production will be written again by João Emanuel Carneiro, the author responsible for the original story. Carneiro will once again be at the helm of the project for the 9pm slot, the main soap opera time slot on the network.

The premiere of "Avenida Brasil 2" is scheduled for January 2027, when it succeeds "Quem Ama Cuida", the soap opera that will be airing at that time slot. No cast members have yet been confirmed for the continuation, leaving fans waiting for more news about the return of the story.

The exhibition, which will remain open until September 27, also represents a moment of cultural dynamization for the municipality, with the presence of the Vice-President of the Municipal Council, Tiago Salgueiro, who highlighted the quality of the works presented.
