The Chega party presented a motion of censure against the PSD/CDS-PP Government, demanding the resignation of Luís Neves from the position of Minister of Internal Administration. The motion specifically targeted the continuity of the official in the executive.
The motion was rejected in the vote that took place in the Assembly of the Republic. The Socialist Party, the main opposition party, chose to abstain in this vote.
With the abstention of PS, the Government managed to avoid the approval of the motion of censure. This position of the socialist party allowed the PSD/CDS-PP executive to remain in office with Luís Neves continuing as Minister of Internal Administration.
