«Spent his life investigating non-compliance with the law and lived eight years in amnesia in his life»: IL

Now8 September 2026 at 18:24

The Iniciativa Liberal (IL) party once again focused its criticism on the government, through a speech by one of its deputies who pointed out serious flaws in governance. The parliamentarian denounced the existence of cash payments and informal agreements established with construction companies, practices he considered incompatible with the rule of law.

The IL deputy directed a direct appeal to the minister in question, requesting his resignation. The central argument of this appeal relates to the need to protect public institutions from scandals and practices that could compromise their integrity and credibility.

The parliamentarian's intervention also included a curious but significant reference: he mentioned that a certain person spent his life investigating non-compliance with the law, but simultaneously lived eight years in amnesia during his life, in an apparent contradiction that the party intended to highlight as an example of the executive's contradictions.
