The Municipality of Braga held on Tuesday the Opening Session of Academic Year 2026/2027, an event that brought together representatives from schools, teachers, operational assistants, families, and other members of the educational community. During the session, the main education data for the municipality was presented.
The academic year has 23,485 students in total, representing a notable diversity of 105 different nationalities. From this universe, 5,613 students are of foreign nationality, which represents a significant part of the municipality's student body.
The event marks the beginning of the school year activities in the Minho municipality, which stands out for its multiculturalism in the Portuguese educational context.
