Piauí ended the month of July with more than 58,000 delinquent companies, according to data from a study. The number represents a significant volume of CNPJs with financial arrears in the state.
Despite the high absolute number of companies in default, the state of Piauí ranks fourth with the lowest debt index for CNPJs nationwide. This means that, proportionally, the state presents a less severe situation compared to other Brazilian states.
The study analyzes the financial situation of companies with an active National Registry of Legal Entities, considering those that have debts or payment delays. Piauí's position in the national ranking contrasts with the total number of delinquents registered in the state.
