The CIM Alto Minho Intermunicipal Council met today at Villa Moraes, in Ponte de Lima, to discuss new guiding principles for the territorial development of the region, with emphasis on improving accessibility.
The president of CIM Alto Minho, António Barbosa, publicly presented the strategic investment priorities for the region, with broad consensus among the ten mayors of the Municipal Chambers: Arcos de Valdevez, Caminha, Melgaço, Monção, Paredes de Coura, Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima, Valença, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Cerveira.
António Barbosa expressed satisfaction with this union of forces, stating that the agreed areas demonstrate the political maturity of the region and the clarity of vision about what is essential for the development of the territory.
With this strategic plan underway, CIM Alto Minho is preparing the next phases of financing and intervention, aiming for balanced management between the different regions while promoting quality of life in Alto Minho.
