The controversy around Commedia a La Carte Fest continues with no resolution. The festival, created by Portuguese comedian César Mourão, was almost cancelled after several national artists withdrew because they don't agree with the values defended by Jerry Seinfeld.
Jerry Seinfeld's performance at the festival was maintained by the organization, which expressed intention to sue the artists who cancelled their participation in the event.
The withdrawals were motivated by disagreement with positions previously taken by the American comedian, which caused indignation among the Portuguese artists associated with the festival.
