Castelo de Almourol hosts on September 26 and 27 a historical-military reenactment called "Almourol Templário – O Assalto" (Almourol Templar – The Assault). The initiative was announced by the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha through a statement.
The event includes a nighttime assault on the fortress, medieval and civilian camps, and various immersive experiences. Visitors have the opportunity to take on different roles of the era, actively participating in the reenactment.
The initiative takes place over two days and aims to disseminate the historical heritage of the region, providing an educational and interactive experience related to the medieval and Templar period.
