NERSANT defended greater involvement of companies in the definition of Higher Technical Professional Courses (CTeSP), considering that the link between higher education and the business fabric should be strengthened to respond more effectively to labor market needs. The position was presented by Rui Serrano, president of NERSANT – Business Association of the Santarém Region / Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The intervention took place during the session "A Decade of CTeSP – Evaluation and Future of Short-Cycle Higher Education," held at the Thalia Theatre, in Lisbon. The initiative marked the ten years of existence of CTeSP and brought together government officials, higher education institutions, regional development entities, and representatives of the economic fabric.
The objective of the event was to reflect on the journey of this training offer and the challenges facing its future. According to NERSANT, the study "CTeSP: Evaluation of a Decade of Higher Technical Professional Courses" presents relevant data on the impact of these courses on the labor market and the training of qualified professionals.
