The Socialist Party (PS) of Caminha publicly criticized today the way the Municipality is communicating the temporary transfer of children from Kindergarten and the 1st year of Caminha Basic School to the Centro Escolar de Vilar de Mouros. This transfer is being carried out within the scope of the planned works at the school.
According to a statement released by the party, the PS questions the lack of consultation with the families involved in this change. The party considers that families were not properly consulted or informed about the decision.
The temporary transfer is intended to accommodate students during the period when the requalification works are taking place at Escola Básica de Caminha. The Centro Escolar de Vilar de Mouros will be the alternative location to accommodate these children.
The PS expressed concern about the way the process is being managed, demanding greater transparency and dialogue from the Municipality of Caminha with the families affected by this school reorganization.
