TV Globo announced on Tuesday (8) the premiere of "Avenida Brasil 2," a continuation of the phenomenon that moved the Brazilian audience in 2012. The original soap opera became known for the revenge story of Nina, played by Débora Falabella, against Carminha, a character portrayed by Adriana Esteves.
The second part of the plot will be written by João Emanuel Carneiro, who also authored the original soap opera. The announcement was made through the network's official social media, where memorable scenes from the soap opera were shown.
Currently, "Avenida Brasil" is being rebroadcast on the Vale a Pena Ver de Novo program, which may have helped reignite public interest in the story.
The continuation is confirmed to premiere in January 2027 as the network's next prime time drama.
