Guimarães will celebrate European Mobility Week between September 16 and 22, with a program dedicated to sustainable mobility and the promotion of alternatives to individual transport. This initiative is part of a European celebration that aims to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of more environmentally friendly mobility practices.
Between September 18 and 21, public transport will be free in the municipality. This free access applies to the services of operators Guimabus and AveMobilidade, which operate in the Guimarães area.
The main objective of this initiative is to encourage the population to use collective transport as an alternative to individual transport. By offering free rides during this period, the local authorities intend to demonstrate the advantages of public transport and convince citizens to adopt more sustainable mobility behaviors in their daily lives.
