The washhouses of Sacões, in Vila Nova do Ceira, and Amiosinho, in Alvares, are already prepared to host the 3rd edition of the Intercultural Festival Lavadouros com Alma. Both spaces were subject to arrangement, care and painting works, carried out in coordination with the local parish councils.
The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Góis and is scheduled for September 12 and 19, with each date corresponding to one of the locations: Sacões hosts the event on the 12th, while Amiosinho hosts it on the 19th.
The previous edition of the event featured the participation of cultural groups from various countries, including Brazil, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Romania, Bulgaria, Paraguay, Venezuela, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Senegal and Morocco, which reflects the intercultural nature of the festival.
Lavadouros com Alma is part of the strategy to enhance the rural heritage of the municipality of Góis, seeking to revitalize traditional spaces in the villages of the region through cultural and social activities.
