Pensioners in Portugal will receive an extraordinary supplement in December, following the practice of recent years. The Prime Minister announced this measure in Parliament, indicating that the payment will be made together with the December pension.
Those covered will be pensioners who receive up to 1,611 euros, with the supplement being granted progressively up to that amount. The total value of this measure represents approximately 400 million euros.
The announcement comes at a time when many pensioners face growing financial difficulties, and the government decided to maintain this extraordinary support as a way to mitigate the impact of the increased cost of living.
