Joan Yago, a renowned Catalan playwright, was distinguished with the 2026 National Drama Literature Prize for his work "La brama del cérvol (una experiència única en un marc incomparable)", published by Editorial Comanegra.
The jury, which met on Tuesday, described the work as a "risky and deliberately delirious" text. The prize is granted by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and is endowed with 30,000 euros.
