The Municipal Council of Paredes de Coura opened today a 20-day public discussion period for the elaboration of the detailed plan for the business reception zone of Linhares and Ferreira, as published in the Official Gazette. This decision aims to address the municipality's strategic need to establish a new industrial zone in the county.
The project development was initiated in 2023, but ended up lapsing because it depended financially on community funding, namely from the Northern Regional Programme 2030. Earlier this month, the Municipal Council announced that it would restart the process of developing this plan.
The decision to resume the plan was made in August, unanimously, by the municipal executive of Paredes de Coura, which set a six-month deadline for the completion of the detailed plan procedure for the Linhares and Ferreira Industrial Zone.
Interested parties may consult the procedure documents on the Internet page of the Municipality of Paredes de Coura and at the Single Desk, during operating hours. Any suggestion, information or observation must be submitted in writing, until the end of the public discussion period, addressed to the Mayor of the Municipal Council.
