The Ministry of Education was forced to sign a new 187 thousand euro contract with consulting firm Deloitte to resolve problems with the digital grading of national exams. This new contract comes after failures identified in the platforms used for the digitization and grading of exams.
According to available information, the problems with digital grading of national exams have already cost almost 600 thousand euros in contracts with Deloitte. The consulting firm was initially called to fix the failures detected in the system and subsequently to monitor the platforms used in the exam process.
This new 187 thousand euro contract represents a significant additional cost for the State, in a process that has faced criticism due to the technical problems that have affected the digitization of national exams. The situation highlights the difficulties in implementing digital systems for exam management in Portugal.
