The Mafra Autarchy, which includes the Mafra Municipal Chamber, the municipal company GIATUL, and the Mafra Municipal Water and Sanitation Services, entered into contracts during August 2026 totaling 3,311,528.24 euros, distributed among 39 companies or entities. These contracts were awarded through public tender, general regime direct agreement, excluded contracting II, and prior consultation, covering various areas such as education, environment, infrastructure, culture, and sports.
The largest contract was a public tender by SMAS for the execution of household connections, network expansions, and cancellation of household connections in the municipality of Mafra, for the period 2026-2027, worth 689,350.89 euros. The smallest contract was a public tender by the Mafra Municipal Chamber for the supply of technological equipment for the Milharado-Póvoa da Galega Basic School 2/3, worth 3,683.95 euros.
The company that earned the most from the contracts signed in August was AECI, Arquitectura Construção e Empreendimentos Imobiliários, which collected a total of 1,117,948.44 euros through two contracts: one for the repair of paved roads in the municipality (500,000.00 euros) and another for the construction of the Ericeira Nautical Centre (617,948.44 euros).
Among the various contracts signed, the following also stand out: the production of the sporting event EDP Ericeira Pro 2026 (125,000.00 euros), the rehabilitation of the Dynamic Barrier at Praia do Sul in Ericeira (99,773.22 euros), the supply of fruits and horticultural products for primary school students and pre-school children (130,162.88 euros), and the expansion of the sanitation network and renovation of the water supply network on Rua da Indústria in Sobreiro (137,246.75 euros).
