A consortium led by Mota-Engil has expressed interest in participating in the construction of Line 2 of the Bogotá Metro in Colombia. Empresa Metro de Bogotá received pre-qualification requests from three international groups, with the other interested parties being the Spanish Sacyr and the Chinese Xi'an Rail Transportation Group. The Portuguese construction company's consortium is composed of Mota-Engil Colombia, Mota-Engil Engenharia e Construção África, Mota-Engil México, and the French Spie Batignolles Génie Civil.
The three requests will now be evaluated by a specialized team at EMB to verify whether they meet the required legal, financial, and experience criteria. In the second phase, pre-qualified groups must submit their financial and technical proposals by the end
