Carlos Latre returned to the 'El Hormiguero' program and talked with Pablo Motos about the most delicate moment in their professional relationship: his departure to Telecinco. During the interview, Latre opened up about this decision that led him to leave the Antena 3 format to host a new show on the rival channel.
The show in question was 'Babylon Show', which premiered in 2024 in the competitive access prime time slot. With this move, Carlos Latre began competing directly not only against Pablo Motos and 'El Hormiguero', but also against 'La Revuelta' by David Broncano, another major rival in the same time slot.
However, Latre's experience at Telecinco was not as successful as expected. 'Babylon Show' ended up being taken off the air just a few weeks after its premiere, which left the presenter quite disappointed with how things unfolded at the Mediaset channel.
