The wine Quinta da Gaivosa Porto LBV 2021, produced by the company Alves de Sousa Douro & Port Wines in Santa Marta de Penaguião, was distinguished as the winner of the 24th International Oenological Competition Città del Vino. The wine achieved 95 points and first place in the Official OIV Classification.

The distinction was presented at FATACIL, in Lagoa, by the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities. The competition brought together approximately 1,400 wines, with the specimen produced in Santa Marta de Penaguião obtaining the highest score of this edition.

This recognition reinforces the visibility of the wine production in the municipality and highlights the work developed by Alves de Sousa Douro & Port Wines in the production of Douro and Porto wines.
