Zelensky expressed the desire to prepare a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, preferably as early as September. The Ukrainian President stated he also intends to meet with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, in the second half of September to discuss the supply of interceptors against Russian ballistic missiles.
Russia resumed air strikes against Kyiv the previous night, causing at least two dead and eight wounded. These attacks occurred after a brief suspension during the US emissaries' visit to the Ukrainian capital.
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on social media that as soon as the American President's peace emissaries departed, Vladimir Putin launched a new attack against Kyiv.
