Students in OECD countries are performing worse in Science, Mathematics and Reading. This trend represents a deterioration in academic results in these three assessed subjects.
In 2022, 16% of OECD students had low performance in all three assessed subjects simultaneously. This number was already considered high.
Currently, this percentage has risen to 20%, which represents a significant worsening of the situation. This means that one in five students does not reach minimum proficiency levels in these fundamental areas.
