Médio Ave Local Health Unit opens five positions for medical career progression

The Unidade Local de Saúde do Médio Ave opened five positions for medical career progression, covering four different specialties. The new posts are intended for progression to the category of Senior Graduate Assistant, which represents a higher level in the medical career hierarchy.

The approved measure aims to strengthen the existing differentiated teams in the health unit. With this initiative, the ULS do Médio Ave intends to contribute to the retention of doctors, creating conditions for professionals to progress in their careers without needing to leave the institution.

The process of opening these positions comes in a context where many health units face difficulties in attracting and retaining medical professionals, with career progression being one of the strategies used to address these gaps.
