The INEM Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians' Union admits it may maintain the strike after receiving a counter-proposal that, according to the union, falls 'short' of the workers' demands.
The union and the health minister are trying to find a date to meet again this week, in an attempt to reach an agreement that could lead to the cancellation of the strike.
Negotiations between the two sides continue, but so far it has not been possible to reach an agreement on the demands of the pre-hospital emergency technicians.
The possibility of maintaining the strike remains on the table while negotiations continue without a definitive solution in sight.
