Feijóo discredits the declassification of documents about Ceuta: "Those reports are cut"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General8 September 2026 at 10:18

The president of the Popular Party (PP), Alberto Núñez Feijóo, discredited the reports on the migratory avalanche at the end of July in Ceuta that the Council of Ministers would declassify that Tuesday, as announced by Pedro Sánchez the previous week in Congress. And he did so even before their publication.

During an interview on Antena 3 Televisión, Feijóo stated: "Those reports are cut," thus criticizing the documents that would be made public. The interview took place almost at the same time as the weekly ordinary meeting of the Executive began in Moncloa.

The announcement of the declassification of the documents had been made by Pedro Sánchez in the Congress of Deputies, generating political controversy about what the reports really contained regarding the migratory crisis in Ceuta.
