The 10th edition of the Corn Festival takes place in Portimão between September 11 and 13, in the city's riverside area, between Repsol and the Naval Club. With free entry, the event brings together gastronomy, music and other expressions of Brazilian culture, in a programme aimed at different audiences. The organization belongs to PEM – Pontes Entre Mundos, a Luso-Brazilian association, with support from Portimão Municipality, the Parish Council of Portimão and Turismo do Algarve.

The gastronomic component includes specialties from various regions of Brazil, such as acarajé from Bahia, dishes from Pará and Goiás, jantinha, pastel, sugarcane juice, sweets, pies, hot dogs, burgers and caipirinha. Corn-based recipes remain central to the event, with options such as pamonha, curau and boiled corn, with prices between eight and fifteen euros.

The event was born from the initiative of Michelle, the founder of the event, starting from the preparation of traditional Brazilian specialties made with corn. Over the various editions, the initiative expanded gastronomic representation to different regions of Brazil and now takes place traditionally on the occasion of the season when Brazil's Independence is commemorated, also serving as a space for bringing together Brazilian residents in the municipality and the general public.

The music programme includes concerts by Los Pisadinhas, Alê Borges, Misael Araújo, Vânia Souza, DJ Têaga, the group "Melhor Eu Ir" and Pagode do Sandrin, as well as a samba circle on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, the event runs between 16:00 and 01:00, and on Sunday from 14:00 to 23:00.
