The United Kingdom announced a contribution of 116 million euros to reinforce Ukraine's air defense during winter, with the sending of Patriot missiles to reinforce the country's defense capabilities against Russian attacks.
This financing is part of the broader context of continuous military support that the United Kingdom has been providing to Ukraine since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion in February 2022.
During this period, the United Kingdom has been one of Ukraine's main international allies, remaining one of the largest providers of military and financial assistance to the country in its defense against Moscow.
The delivery of Patriot systems and the associated financing represent a joint effort to help Ukraine face security challenges during the winter season, when Russian aerial attacks tend to intensify.
