António Guterres' last UN General Assembly begins today

The last General Assembly of the United Nations of António Guterres' current term kicks off this Tuesday in New York. The event has the theme of rebuilding trust and managing transformation for a UN that serves everyone.

It is not yet known who will succeed António Guterres as head of the organization, whose term ends in January.

António Guterres is currently in his second term leading the United Nations, having started his first term in January 2017.
