Almost half of Portuguese students aged 15 use Artificial Intelligence tools to study and complete academic assignments. This is one of the conclusions of a study that reveals the growing adoption of this technology in the educational context in Portugal.
The phenomenon has been expanding significantly among young Portuguese students, who turn to AI for various activities related to their school and academic journey.
At the same time, the study points to an increase in reports from teachers and educators about students distracted by their screens during classes, which represents an additional challenge for the school environment.
This picture emerges in the context of a broader debate about the impact of new technologies on the learning process and on how young people relate to knowledge and their studies.
