That night, Luís Neves was dismissed from his position as minister. Former PSD deputy Duarte Pacheco considered that all the controversies surrounding Luís Neves make one wonder why he should continue as minister.

Duarte Pacheco stated that it is Prime Minister Luís Montenegro's own image that is already at stake with this situation. The former deputy considered that Montenegro is "scorched" after all the controversy.

The former PSD deputy told RTP Antena 1 that Luís Montenegro should have been dismissed when he said that nothing would remove him from office. According to Pacheco, this statement shows that the prime minister should not continue in his post.
