The motto "For a better world" of Rock in Rio found in the first days of the 2026 edition a practical test of its social impact outside the stages. While thousands of people circulated through the City of Rock seeking music and entertainment, companies and social organizations took advantage of the festival's infrastructure to create training experiences, generate job opportunities, mobilize donations, and test sustainability solutions.
Companies invested R$93 million in social projects in Rio de Janeiro, making the state the second in the country with the highest presence of companies that invest in social projects. These resources were directed toward various initiatives during the festival.
The Responsa Action initiative tracked, over the first three days of the edition, initiatives focused on fighting hunger, youth employment, and inclusion. These actions demonstrated how social investment can move beyond discourse and occupy practical territory within large events.
After the first weekend, Rock in Rio had already gathered nearly 800,000 plates of food donated within the "A better world" campaign, showing concrete results of the festival's social impact beyond music and entertainment.
