Ukraine's Parliament is evaluating a bill that aims to decriminalize the pornographic content industry in the country. The proposal is authored by deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak, interviewed by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.
The main objective of the measure is to redirect the taxes collected from the regularized activity to finance Ukraine's military spending in the war against Russia. The expectation is to collect approximately R$ 128 million through taxation.
The project represents a change in current legislation, which penalizes the pornographic industry. With regularization, the government intends to create a new source of revenue to sustain the country's war effort.
