Released on Monday, the new Quaest poll, commissioned by the newspaper O GLOBO and TV Globo, reveals variations in the indices of the main presidential candidates in different segments of Brazilian society. The survey shows significant changes in voting intention in specific categories of voters.
The PL candidate, Bolsonaro, saw his support among independent voters decline in the poll. The incumbent president and candidate for re-election, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), lost momentum among the evangelical electorate, a segment where he already faced a disadvantage in previous polls.
In the first round, Lula appears with 36% of voting intentions, while Bolsonaro marks 29%, and candidate Cury registers 8%. In the gender breakdown, Lula numerically surpasses the Rio de Janeiro senator among men, with 35% against 33%, configuring a technical tie within the margin of error. Among women, the scenario shows negative oscillation for the PT candidate, while Bolsonaro varies positively, both movements within the margin of error.
