Trump threatened to block sales of aircraft from Canadian company Bombardier in the United States. This threat comes in the context of a broader trade dispute between the two countries.
Canada responded with the imposition of tariffs ranging between 15%, 25% and 50%, which came into force on the day the article was written.
These tariffs affect approximately 20 billion dollars worth of American products exported to Canada.
The products covered by these measures include steel, dairy products, electronics and paper pulp.
