The Assembly of the Republic debates and votes today on Chega's motion of censure against the Government, centered on the maintenance of the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, in the executive. The motion, which is guaranteed to be rejected as it does not have the necessary votes for its approval, is titled "For the end of a Government without political authority, incapable of taking responsibility and guaranteeing trust in institutions".
This is the first motion of censure against the XXV Constitutional Government. In presenting the motion, on Wednesday, Chega's president, André Ventura, presented the party's arguments, having indicated he has a clear objective with this political initiative.
