The Spanish Government is expected to approve this Tuesday a royal decree that will increase the informative obligations of companies when offering an employment contract to a new employee. This measure comes from the transposition of a European directive that aims to increase transparency in favor of workers.
From the entry into force of this regulation, companies will have to specify in new employment contracts how many hours the hired person works per day, per month, and per year. This requirement represents a significant change in the way labor contracts are prepared.
Furthermore, companies will have to indicate in detail the worker's base salary, as well as all salary supplements they receive and the reason why they receive them. This transparency obligation applies to new contracts signed after the entry into force of the rule.
