Seven months after the landslides in Porto Brandão, in the Municipality of Almada, there are still 113 displaced people who have not been able to return to their homes. The bad weather caused significant destruction in the area, leaving many families homeless.
Among those affected is Paula, one of the victims who lost everything with the passage of adverse weather conditions. After the disaster, the woman found herself forced to wander for six months from accommodation to accommodation, without finding a fixed place to live.
Finally, Paula managed to find her own space where she can live. However, the situation is not resolved, as she risks losing the support she received if she does not return to the affected area of Porto Brandão.
The situation of these more than one hundred people remains unresolved, highlighting the difficulties in the resettlement process and in the recovery of communities affected by these natural phenomena in the municipality of Almada.
