The Portuguese startup Hope Care closed a Series A funding round of six million euros, composed entirely of new capital. The round was led by Iberis Capital, with participation from Vieira de Matos – VDM Capital, S.A., and Buenavista Equity Partners, a shareholder of the company. The funding will be used to support the company's expansion in Europe, through the strengthening of commercial and operational teams and the launch of new remote patient monitoring programs.
Hope Care, specialized in certified medical software for remote patient monitoring, already provides its services in Portugal and France, where it is present, and also has a project underway in Switzerland. In Germany, the company recently created Hope Care GmbH, based in Erlangen, in the Medical Valley, with the first implementation in the German market planned for October.
Based in Óbidos, the company has its technology installed in 15 Local Health Units in Portugal, covering approximately 45% of users enrolled in the SNS, in addition to the Regional Health Services of Madeira and the Azores. The platform is also used by private healthcare providers, social support organizations and municipalities, having recorded sales growth in the first half of 2026 that reached 2.5 times the value of the same period the previous year.
Hope Care develops OpMA, a regulated platform for remote patient monitoring and telehealth, which brings together data from medical devices, patient-reported information and clinical workflows on a single platform. According to João Henriques, Partner at Iberis Capital, the company's growth comes in a context of increasing pressure on European health systems due to the rise in chronic diseases, considering that Hope Care combines technological capacity and clinical experience to expand in European public health systems.
