Enrique Diaz was cast to play Olegário, an unscrupulous husband, in the Globoplay soap opera "Paraíso perdido". In the plot, Olegário is Ritinha's husband, played by Larissa Bocchino. Originally, Ritinha pretends to be a teacher, but prostitutes herself to support the family, and this plot will be maintained in the new version.
Diaz had initially been invited to be part of the artistic director Joana Jabace's team, with whom he previously worked on the soap operas "Joia rara" and "A regra do jogo". However, it was decided that this time he will act only in front of the cameras, without participating in the technical crew.
Ritinha's story is based on the play "Bonitinha, mas ordinária" by Nelson Rodrigues. The soap opera also draws inspiration from three other works by the author: "A mulher sem pecado", "Toda nudez será castigada" and "Os sete gatinhos".
The new version of "Paraíso perdido" is being written by George Moura and Sergio Goldbaum, and Thelma Guedes' plot will reopen the 23h new soap opera slot on Globo.
