Renan Santos, Caiado and Zema advocate for Moraes' removal from the STF in campaign events on September 7th

cbn7 September 2026 at 22:03

Presidential candidate Renan Santos, from the Missão party, called for the immediate removal of Supreme Court (STF) ministers Dias Toffoli and Alexandre de Moraes during a campaign event held at Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo this Monday. The request was made through a manifesto presented by the candidate, who also demanded the dismissal of the Federal Police director-general, Andrei Rodrigues, and the attorney general, Paulo Gonet.

In addition to Renan Santos, governors Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema also advocated for Moraes' removal from the STF during their campaign schedules on September 7th. The politicians took advantage of the commemorative dates to make critical statements about the court.

In his speech, Renan Santos criticized the population's lack of outrage regarding the country's problems and defended the continuation of investigations into Banco Master. The candidate stated that the investigations should reach all political, business, and legal leaders involved, regardless of who they are.

The statements were made during campaign events held on September 7th, the date marking the 202nd anniversary of Brazil's Independence, when candidates and politicians typically hold public events and make speeches to reach a broader electorate.
