The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, will be heard in Parliament before the motion of censure against the Government. The hearing will serve to detail developments in the areas under his responsibility, namely SIRESP, airports and Civil Protection.
SIRESP, the emergency and security communications system, is one of the topics that will be discussed, as well as the situation of national airports. Civil Protection will also be one of the central points of the parliamentary hearing.
The opposition intends to use this hearing to try to bypass matters that are under judicial secrecy. The opposition parties wish to obtain information on questions that are covered by judicial secrecy.
This hearing takes place in the context of the proximity of a motion of censure against the Government, which gives particular importance to the moment. The Executive thus intends to detail its actions in the internal administration portfolios before the vote that could call into question the continuity of the Government.
