The new Quaest poll, released this Monday, reveals a movement in the electorate described as "very negative" for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), a candidate for reelection. The assessment comes from columnist Vera Magalhães, who points to the difficulty of the oil campaign in getting out of an especially "delicate" moment.
The survey shows Lula in the lead in the simulated first-round scenario, with 36%, followed by Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), with 29%, and Augusto Cury (Avante), with 8%. Voters who say they will vote blank, null, or not vote represent 8%, and the undecided are 10%.
Despite stability compared to the previous survey from September 2, Vera Magalhães highlights that the most "alarming" data for the government is the negative fluctuation in the Executive's approval, which adds to the unprecedented crisis at the Supreme Federal Court (STF). This crisis involves the revelation of messages exchanged between banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, and Justice Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the coup plot.
