Quaest: Lula and Flavio Bolsonaro tied with 41% each in second-round scenario

President Lula (PT) and Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) appear tied with 41% of voting intentions each in a potential second round, according to the new Quaest poll published this Monday (7) and commissioned by Grupo Globo. In the previous edition of the survey, from September 2, Lula appeared with 42% and Bolsonaro with 41%, maintaining the technical tie scenario within the 2 percentage point margin of error.

This is the first Quaest survey conducted after the intensification of the crisis at the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and after the revelations of messages exchanged between former banker Daniel Vorcaro and Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The impact of these political events on the electoral race has not yet reflected significant changes in voting intentions.

The survey interviewed 2,004 people between September 3 and 6. The margin of error is two percentage points plus or minus, and the confidence level is 95%.
