Zekri was offered to Benfica and ended up at Sporting

Zekri is a 17-year-old left-back who was available on the transfer market. The young player was initially offered to Benfica, a club known for the reference to the "door of Light", an allusion to their stadium. After going through that first approach at the Luz, the defender did not proceed to the red club. Zekri ended up heading to Sporting, where he was integrated into the spot left vacant by Mangas, thus completing his transfer to Alvalade.
