After a season dominated by very light blondes, platinum tones and the so-called illuminated brunette, hair is beginning to move toward a warmer and deeper color palette in 2026. Deep reds, intense browns, coppers and honey tones appear as alternatives for those who want to change their color without necessarily betting on radical transformations.
This change follows a search for colors that relate to each person's characteristics. More than following a specific tone, the trend points toward greater personalization in the choice of hair color.
Hair artist and capillary therapist Mari Borges explains that the choice of color interferes with the way the face is perceived and needs to take into account other elements beyond the hair. According to her, hair color is not just an aesthetic issue, as it interacts with skin tone, eyes, eyebrows, features and, mainly, with the personality of the wearer.
