Due to the heavy rain that hit the Olympic Park, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro, where Rock in Rio is taking place, there are several reports of puddles scattered throughout the festival. Along the grass area, it is also possible to see some muddy spots, although in well-isolated locations. There are several street sweepers working on draining the water, however there is a chance of more rain this Monday (7).
The day features the big attraction of British singer Elton John, who retired from the stage in 2023, but returns on some occasions for special performances. The artist is considered perhaps the biggest name on this Monday's lineup.
In a statement sent to CBN, the event organization advises the audience to bring raincoats, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and sweaters due to the expected temperature drop. The festival states that "come prepared to have the best possible experience in all weather conditions."
